From the kitchen of Aunt Mame
Cookies - makes 12 servings

- 2 cups Butter
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
- 2 cups Graham crackers
Stir in sugar and cocoa. Cook until sugar dissolves.
Stir in beaten egg, cook until thick.
Stir in vanilla extract and graham cracker crumbs.
Press into greased 9" square pan. Cool.
Top with creme layer, then chocolate layer.
Creme layer: cream together 1/2 cup butter, 1 pound caster sugar, 1/4 cup bourbon. Stir in 1/2 cup nuts. Spread on bottom layer.
Chocolate topping: melt together 1 package chocolate chips (12 ounces) and 3 tablespoons butter.
Chill everything. These things get better with age.
