Cookies - makes 12 servings

- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 and 1/8 cup Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Mix butter and powdered sugar for dough in mixer. (Don't beat too long)
Add 1 cup flour and beat just briefly.
Dump into 8"x8"x2" ungreased pan and press into bottom.
Bake for about 15 minutes but don't let the edges get brown.
While baking, mix topping ingredients, in this order: eggs, white sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, lemon juice.
Spread topping over hot pastry.
Bake for about 25 minutes at 325 F in a glass dish.
When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
