9 ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Red onion
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 pound Cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 3 cups Mozzarella
  • 2 quarts Spaghetti sauce
  • 1 box Lasagna noodles

7 steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Brown ground beef and onions while boiling noodles. Salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  3. Blend cottage cheese, Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg & egg to smooth. Set aside.
  4. Grate or chunk up mozzarella. Set aside.
  5. Begin layering lasagna in a 9"x13" glass baking dish. Create an even layer of pasta sauce on the bottom, then add a layer of noodles, then a layer of cottage cheese mix, then a layer of meat, then a layer of mozzarella.
  6. Repeat layering from sauce layer until dish is filled. End on a layer of noodles, topped with cheese.
  7. Bake 45 - 55 minutes at 350F. Lasagna is done cooking when top is brown and sauce is bubbling.
