Fruitcake Cookies

14 ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 and 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (ground)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 slices Candied pineapple
  • 1/2 pound Candied cherries
  • 2 pounds Dates (chopped)
  • 1 cup Hazelnuts
  • 1 cup Pecan
  • 1 cup Walnut

6 steps

  1. Preheat oven to 300 F.
  2. Mix butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs and mix.
  4. Add 2 and 1/2 cup flour. (save 1/2 cup to mix with fruit.)
  5. Add remaining ingredients, cutting pineapple and cherries in halves.
  6. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes or until light brown in oven at 300 F.
