Shortcake

7 ingredients
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 4 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 stick Margarine

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Mix dry ingredients.

Cut margarine with knife into dry ingredients until pea sized or smaller.

Break an egg into the bowl.

Slowly add milk to moisten the ingredients - you may not need all the milk (leave it thick).

Grease an 8" x 10" pan or pie pan.

Put mixture into grease pan.

Bake for approximately 15 minutes, until light brown and tooth pick stuck in center comes out clean.
