Sausage Broccoli Chowder

15 ingredients

  • 32 ounces Chicken broth
  • 2 or 3 Carrots
  • 1/2 cup Romano cheese
  • 2 quarts Light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 9 ounces Tortellini
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups Broccoli floret
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 ounces Mushroom
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 (medium) Onion
  • 1 pound Italian sausage

3 steps

  1. Chop onion, mince garlic, slice mushrooms, and dice carrots.
  2. Cook and drain the tortellini.
  3. Note: recipe does not mention further steps. Transcriber's best guess: peel casings off Italian sausage and cook in a pan along with onions and garlic. Once cooked, transfer to large soup pot along with all other ingredients and simmer for 20 to 30 mn. Maybe?
