Cocktail Meatballs

7 ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 (large) Onion
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Lemon
  • 4 pounds Ground beef
  • 12 ounces Chili sauce
  • 12 ounces Grape jelly

6 steps

  1. Note: recipe calls for 4 pounds of "meat" - guessing beef, turkey, or pork is appropriate.
  2. Grate or finely dice onion, then blend with meat, egg, and salt.
  3. Shape into small balls.
  4. Combine chili sauce, jelly, and lemon juice.
  5. Pour over raw meatballs and let simmer for 1 & 1/2 hour.
  6. Serve in a heated chafing dish.
